Regarding changes in the order of entry of foreign citizens to Russia
Foreign citizens arriving in Russia through air checkpoints from the territory of the EAEU member states and some CIS countries will be able to enter the Russian Federation only if they have and present a negative PCR test uploaded to the "Traveling without COVID-19"application. This innovation was established by the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation, dated 20.07.2021 N 1998-R.
The mobile application "I travel without COVID-19" has become mandatory for all citizens of the EAEU countries since July 1, 2021, and since July 25, the application is mandatory for all foreign citizens specified in paragraph 2) of the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 16.03.2020 N 635-p and entering from the EAEU countries.
From September 1, 2021, this application is mandatory for entry from the territory:
It is noted that this decree will not affect foreign citizens traveling from a third country in transit or with a short stop in these countries. But in this case, foreign citizens will need to present a PCR test made in such a third country no earlier than 72 hours before crossing the border, as well as tickets or boarding passes for the entire route.
Other foreign citizens must provide a document confirming the negative result of a PCR test in Russian or English, which was conducted no earlier than 3 days before crossing the border, in order to enter Russia.
