Regarding the requirements for the isolation of foreign citizens arriving in Russia for employment purposes
According to the requirement of paragraph 6.1 of the Resolution of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation, dated 30.03.2020, foreign citizens arriving in the Russian Federation for the purpose of carrying out employment must be isolated for 14 days, except for a short visit to Russia. Also, foreign citizens must have the results of a negative PCR test for COVID-19, conducted no earlier than 3 days before their arrival in the Russian Federation.
According to Rospotrebnadzor, in order to reduce the time of self-isolation of foreign citizens arriving in the Russian Federation for installation and commissioning, maintenance of equipment, it is advisable to conduct testing by PCR and ELISA for the presence of IgM and IgG antibodies.
If the result of the PCR test is negative, the test for the presence of IgG is positive, then it is possible to exclude workers from the observation and send them to their place of employment.
In the case of IgM antibodies, a negative result of the PCR test and the absence of IgG antibodies, foreign workers are sent to a doctor for consultation and are subject to 14-day self-isolation. Repeated studies are carried out on the 8th – 10th day from the beginning of isolation. If the PCR test returns a negative result and there are IgG antibodies, employees can be allowed to work.
It is important that this procedure applies only to foreign citizens who have arrived in the Russian Federation for the purpose of carrying out installation, commissioning and maintenance of equipment, including for work in the construction industry.
